My Job Selling Cars

Night of: July 4
(Real) People involved: my mom
Number of dreams remembered: 1

I was in the business of selling cars with my mom, but lots of it was done via phone and the computer. I tried to do a car sale on the computer, and that was done be merely dragging a file from one folder to another. Unfortunately, the file transfer was taking forever, so the car sale wasn't happening.
I emailed the guy that was buying the car, and explained that it might take me 'til 10:30 p.m. to get the sale done, and then he could come pick up his car. The weird thing about the email was that it was sent by computer, but I wrote it by hand.
I ended up going home after work. My mom was watching an Indian movie--and she told me that it was written by a person with an MBA, and it was about a dermatologist. The doorbell rang, and I knew it was that guy to get his car from our driveway. I was really nervous because I hadn't officially sold it to him yet, so he wasn't allowed to pick it up.
My mom rushed to the door and had trouble unlocking it, but she got it open. The guy at the door was really weird looking. He stared at about chest level and his eyes were crossed outwards. We went outside with him and we noticed that a girl was with him, and that they had both arrived by taxi. The girl appeared to be his sister, who wasn't as unattractive as he was... I figured they were related, though, because they were both wearing red, white, and blue shirts.
My mom asked what his name was, and he responded with a name that sounded like "Like-uz." My mom had to ask a couple of times to get it straight. She took care of the situation by saying that we had tried, but were unable to get the sale completed. I don't know how they ended up going home, but I was happy that I wouldn't have to deal with an unsatisfied customer.

In retrospect: I think this has a lot to do with my new job that involves sitting on the computer for most of the day, and much of it is dealing with store employees (who are basically my customers) and their emails. The file taking forever reminds me of some of the software that we use at work and how that takes a long time to work. Also, since I'm still new at the job, when I'm not sure what to do, I go to other people to take care of situations for me, like my mom did in this case.
