Band, Work, and the Coolest Scale I've Ever Seen

Night of: August 3
People Invovled: My Favorite Band, Chris, Francis, Camellia (sat behind me in English in high school), Kyle, Sylvia Tran (someone I barely knew in high school), my brother, Erica Beers (co-worker), Shanielle Howa (co-worker), my mom
Number of Dreams Remembered: 3

My Favorite Band had a show. We played inside on a stage, but then we were supposed to play outside, too. Out there, I didn't know how far I could run around, so my cord kept popping out of the amp. I think I was also playing wrong chords much of the time. After we were done playing. I told Chris, "If we ever get the option to play inside and outside, let's choose to only play inside, since it sounds better and the stage is set and everything."
The show must've been a competition, because all of a sudden, someone was announcing the winners. The way of announcing was interesting; a person in the band would be named and told how awesome they were, and the band that had the most people named was the band that won the competition. About 3 people were named, and they were complete strangers to me, yet they were in My Favorite Band. My name was announced as, "The guy dressed like a pirate!" Here, the point of view of the dream changed, and I was watching myself win. I remember watching myself say something when my name was announced, but I don't remember what I said. I saw myself dressed as a pirate. I also watched us perform a song that had the word "motivation" in it. The chorus was super catchy, the song was nice and upbeat, and everyone in the audience was nodding their heads up and down and immediately knew the words. I thought, "This is going to be our hit song."
Francis and I, after realizing that 4 or 5 people from My Favorite Band were already picked, told each other that we knew we were going to win. Francis said, "My Favorite Band has so many votes, and it looks like you two are going to win" and he pointed to the back of the room. Two girls stood up and thought they won. However, they were wrong. He had pointed to My Favorite Band somehow, and we won. I told Francis how those two girls thought they won and how sad that was.
After the show, I went to see the friends that came to support us. Kyle, Sylvia, and Camellia were there. Kyle was obviously flirting with Camellia. They were sitting in a row; Camellia was sitting, facing Kyle, resting her legs on Kyle's right shoulder. Even though it was her choice to have her legs up on him, I somehow knew that this was Kyle's idea. I came out to talk to Camellia, so she left them, hugged me, and then started kissing me. I thought Kyle might get pissed so I opened my eyes, and Kyle was heading towards us, and he was mouthing, "You kiss with your eyes open???" I closed my eyes and kept kissing her.
Camellia wanted to get away, so I agreed. It was really late, and she asked if I was going to sleep with her. I said I didn't know because I didn't want to ruin the relationship, but I would be willing to sleep with her. She agreed, so we were going to do it. She said, "Okay, let's go to the movies then." I was confused; apparently she wanted to have a mini date first. Since it was really late, I didn't know what to do--it was hard to leave everyone and disappear with Camellia, but I did it anyway.
It was 12:02 a.m. and there were a ton of people in front of the theater. We went in and I noticed a sign that said something to the effect of "No shirt, no shoes, no service." I noticed we both weren't wearing shoes. We ran in anyway.
When we got in the theater, Camellia found us seats, and it was a front row of the very back section. I sat down, and she sat down with a seat in between us. I was confused again. I got up to move a seat closer, and she patted the seat like she wanted me to move closer, so I was happy about that. Since the seats were the front of the back section, lots of people were walking in front of us as the previews started. I was still barefoot, and was terrified that someone would step on my feet. I also thought about the rumors that people planted needles infected with HIV in movie theaters. I tried to curl my legs up to my chest, to get my feet off the ground, but people kept bumping into them. I tried to move my feet in closer again. In the process, a little girl, who must've been 10-12 years old, was walking by and hit my feet as they were moving. It hit her shoulder and it basically took the whole right side of her shirt off. I felt like everyone was going to think I was a pervert.
I remembered that it was really late, so I decided to text Neal. I asked Camellia what movie we were seeing. It looked kinda like "Toy Story," except with more girl characters. Camellia said it was called "The Dolls." I took out my cell phone to text Neal, and I was starting to type, but this turned into writing the words out with my fingernail. I could barely write, and some words were on top of other words. I didn't know if Neal would be able to read it, but I was going to send it anyway. I wrote, "I'm going to see The Dolls so I'll be home late." I remember thinking, "Maybe I should write 'late' as 'l8' so that I could save space and it'll be legible," but then I thought how lame it is to write like that.
I was going to send the message through my cell phone, and was picking the destination. I found "Neal's police car" as a destination and was about to send it there, but I realized that he might not go to his car soon, so that was stupid. I sent it to his cell phone, and I was able to see where his phone was located. It was somewhere in my family's backyard.
When this was over, Camellia was somehow sitting behind me and massaging my shoulders. The dream ended there.

In Retrospect: The show thing is definitely because we had band practice last night for a show coming up in exactly one week from today. Camellia was in the dream because she emailed me last night, and I responded right before going to bed.
-----
I got a paycheck at work and it was only for $1 and about 12 cents. However, on the back, it said I was only going to get $1. That pissed me off, because they were taking money out for absolutely no reason. I showed some people at work, and they got upset; everyone demanded their money back. Erica said, "You know what we should do? Sue them for all our past paychecks, too." Shanielle also talked to me and genuinely thanked me for finding that problem.
-----
Me, Kyle, Sylvia, and Camellia went to a grocery store, but they had games you could play. I could tell that Kyle was flirting with Camellia, but I thought he might've been doing that to purposely avoid Sylvia, which would then get Sylvia to like him instead.
Camellia said she wanted to play Mario Kart on N64, and I was shocked since I love that game.
This somehow turned into me in a grocery store with my mom. She told me that the Oscar Meyer bologna she got didn't look good, so she told me to find a different pack. It was really hard to find, but I finally got it. I guess she had also told me to get new potatoes, because the dream morphed into me walking into a really ghetto grocery store to pay for the potatoes, bologna, and to cash my work check for $1. The owner of the store was in there tatooing another guy, so I waited. When the owner was done, he said, "You're gonna have to weigh those potatoes." I obviously didn't know how, so we walked out and were in a regular grocery store. He grabbed a gigantic, rolling scale, and rolled it into his store. He set it in the middle of the room and showed me how it worked. He had the other guy stand in front of the machine, and the owner pressed a huge red button marked "Sample." The machine rotated around the tatooed guy, taking x-ray pictures. When it was finished, it showed his body weight and a digital image of him. I thought it was scary, but awesome. He did another sample with the guy moving, and the digital picture ended up being his face on a horse's body. We were ready to measure the potatoes. We put the potatoes in front of the machine, and the dream ended.

"I'm getting sick of masturbation..."
I think this is a sign that you guys should play something off Monkey Business at the Coach House show. Dog With a Mid-Life Crisis, perhaps? ;)

Also, being TWICE thwarted in attempting to sleep with Camellia has to mean something.

I was attempting to sleep with her twice? I thought it was once.
The weird thing is that as of a couple of days ago, I hadn't "talked" to her in 6 years.

Oh. Yeah. Well, i'm sure if the dream hadn't morphed into grocery shopping with your mom so fast, then it would have progressed further...or something. So does that mean that you HAVE talked to her SINCE two days ago? and does that mean you talked to her BEFORE or AFTER the dream? inquiring minds want to know.

PS. Justin Time would be another good choice to play at the Coach House Show

There will be no monkey business. An email conversation started with her right before the dream--that's why I had a dream about her. I have emailed her since, too.
