The New Nintendo

My friend todd (poker buddy from church) kept talking about how he was getting "The New Nintendo System," and that i should come over when he gets it. The day had finally arrived, but when i got there, he didn't actually have it; he just showed me a picture of it on ebay. As soon as i saw it, i realized it was just a Japanese gamecube, but i didn't have the heart to tell him. It looked kinda like a Super Famicom (Japanese Super Nintendo), but it was purple. At some point, Todd figured out what was going on as well, and he tried to cancel the order.

I've known todd for a long time, and what i knew him for originally was that he had more (regular) nintendo games than anyone i knew, so he was basically my hero. At poker, he often talks to Ryan and I about video games, and he's even proposed having a video game night instead of poker sometime, but that's never happened. Also, buying the japanese gamecube on ebay reminded me of when i was trying to find a super nintendo on ebay, but all i could find was japanese ones.
