Too Many to Title

Night of: July 8
People involved: Max, Kyle, Maddy, my mom, Neal, Minnie, Jill, Britton
Number of dreams remembered: 6

I knew that I was working, but we got some time off to buy stuff in the company's store. We were supposed to come back to work after. The store was called "Larry's Against the Straws." I looked around for awhile. I tried to find a System of a Down shirt, but couldn't find that. Then I remembered Neal's birthday, but couldn't remember what shirt he wanted. Instead, I found a cool jacket that I could wear, but it said NY Yankees on it, so I decided that was a bad choice. Max came up to me and showed me a cd. He said it was really good and that I should get it. It was a blue and purple cd and I knew it was a metal band. I looked at the back, and it had 50 songs for only $12. I decided I'd buy it because it was a good deal, but then saw that the album was named "Prostitution." That made me stop and think for a few seconds, but I held onto the cd.
I continued looking for jackets, and found one that looked the same as the NY Yankees one, but this one said "NY Jets," so I decided I could go with that one. Lastly, I found an electric shaving kit, so I picked that up, too.
By the time I was ready to buy, everyone was leaving to go back to work, including the cashier. I asked if it was alright that I buy some stuff, and he seemed upset, but said he'd do it. In a rush, I gave him the stuff, but the cd was missing. I checked my pocket and it was in there for some reason, so I gave him that, too. He either didn't see that it was in my pocket, or didn't care.
One of the helpers at the store asked me something like, "Do you want to be able to use it when you're away from home?" or something to that effect, and I figured he wanted to know if I needed the charger or not, so I said, "I want the charger, too." He told me to find a guy named "Fairsquare" to get the charger for me. In a hurry because everyone at the store was leaving or gone, I went back to the tiny, dark area where the cashier guy was and asked someone where Fairsquare was. The response was, "He's hiding," so I called out "Fairsquare," and although I knew he was going to pop out of his hiding spot, he scared me by jumping out of a broken, dirty shower.

In retrospect: Dreaming about doing other things during work is definitely because of the fact that at my work, we go see movies and stuff--and there was actually a time where we could buy stuff for really cheap, but it was optional to go to, and during work hours. When I did that, I felt a little guilty that I was missing work, especially since I'm new. The same is true for when I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2--only four of us went to see it, and I missed an hour of work, so I felt a bit guilty about that, too. Just another hint that it has to do with my work is the name, "Fairsquare," because one key term at work is, "Fairshare." I have no idea where the name "Larry's Against the Straws" came from. I also don't know why Max from my Colorado trip was in my dream, but I do remember what shirt Neal wants--Strung Out.

Me and Kyle wanted to figure out where the insects in our aparment were coming from. Again, my old house was the place I dreamed about instead of where I currently live. To figure out where the insects were, Maddy rubbed her hand on the counter and said that you're supposed to do that to get the insects to come out of where they're hiding. Sure enough, they came out. It was disgusting. Insects of all sorts, and I distinctly remember a couple orange and brown millipedes, covered the ground and were moving from one side of the kitchen to the other. I stood on the counter so that I didn't have to walk through them.
I went in the pool because I felt like if there were any bugs on me, it would get them off. It was really hot outside and my mom had heated the pool way too much, and left the spa cold. My mom said that she did it because she likes the pool really hot and she didn't know I was going to go in it, and Neal didn't plan to that day. Even though he didn't plan to, him and Minnie decided that they should go in, but they didn't when they heard my mom say that she heated it. This caused an argument to figure out my mom's reasoning, but I don't quite remember how the argument went and how it ended.

*Addition: I don't know if it was a whole different dream, but I remember glass breaking on the ground, and I stepped on a piece. It looked like a tiny glass tube, and it was an inch long... and it went completely in my foot, so I took it out by pushing the skin around it.
------
For some reason, I was chosen by my family to do some work. The work consisted of copying lyrics down onto paper, and then putting it a big envelope and sealing it. To make it worse, the work took place in the bathroom.
When I had finished, Jill told my mom that my work was no good. She said that I was only copying the lyrics, and not analyzing them. I thought that my job was to copy them, but instead of explaining that, I yelled at the family for making me do it in the first place. I yelled, "I'm not good at writing! I'm not good at writing! That's what happens when you make me write!"
-----
It was Christmas time and we had two kittens. I liked petting them, but it seemed like I was the only one in the family that liked them. The kittens liked me, too. They also liked each other. They slept next to each other, and on top of me once. My mom though that it was cute that they were sleeping next to me, one on each side of my face, almost perfectly symmetrical, so she decided to take a picture. Since it was not totally symmetrical, she moved the kittens slightly to make the picture better, and I continued to fake that I was asleep. She finally took the picture, and then insisted that we take more pictures by putting the kittens in weird positions. She wanted me to arrange them into a heart shape while they were lying down, but I thought that was just disturbing. She also asked that we have them stand on their hind legs, facing forward, with one arm up, like they were waving to the camera. Again, I thought that was twisted, and that I was the only one that liked them.
The doorbell rang, so Neal answered the door. I watched over the kittens to make sure they didn't run outside, and after a while, Neal finally realized that he shouldn't keep the door open. The person at the door asked, "Kittens?" and I said, "Yeah." One ran by and I said, "There goes one." A couple of seconds later, the other ran by, and I said, "And there's the other."
The kittens went over to the Christmas tree and started playing with the lights, so I butted in to make sure they didn't get electrocuted.

In retrospect: A couple of days ago, I noticed that the family was updating some pictures to put up in the house, and one of the new ones was an older picture of my mom sleeping with our cat sleeping on her neck.
-----
I had a dream that I was writing down my previous dreams.

In retrospect: I woke up to my alarm, and remembered two of my dreams, but I was so tired, that I couldn't get myself to write them down. Instead, I cycled through key words in my head over and over to try and get myself to remember them--I guess that made me dream that I was writing them down, and actually really helped me remember a lot of them.
-----
I had a dream that Britton was in a semi-famous band--his music video was playing, and although the band sounded like everyone else, I had an urge to try and contact him. It was odd because it didn't really look like him, and the sound of his voice was quite different between verses and choruses.

Damn, that's a lot of dreams. I wish i was as cool as you. One day, i will be.
We definitely gotta figure out what "Larry's Against the Straws" means. That's genius.
My theory is that it has something to do with you having a sudden urge to watch Veggie Tales.

I know nothing about Veggie Tales! I think straws is because of the In & Out milkshake, because I was going to mention to you two how it's weird that In & Out is the only place that keeps part of the straw wrapper on the straw when they give you your drink.

Aaaaand I just remembered another dream, but no details, so I'm not sure if I'll write it. I think I might, though, just because it involves a really random person.
