Christmas in...October?
My nephew was hanging out at my house for the day, and it was time for him to leave, so he was getting a ride home with his friend. The friend's dad was really intimidating and scary (played by Christopher Plummer). However, before he left, my nephew wanted to get a Christmas tree because he had an ornament that he was really anxious to use. We walked up to the dirt lot at the top of my street, and, strangely enough, they were selling Christmas trees. Most of them were really crappy looking Charlie Brown trees. We were asking the people about the prices, and they were (apparently joking around) saying they were like $1000, and then they talked about an insurance plan that was another $400 or something. The friend's dad yelled at my nephew and said, "just pay them!" Ivan was sad, and he told them to just pick one for him. I was happy because they picked the one that i liked the best. They said it was $21 and change, so i paid for it with a 20 and a 2 (and it looked like i had about a zillion singles in my wallet). I got the change and put the tree in the back of the friend's car. My nephew decided that he wanted to sit with the tree in the back. I thought this was a really dumb idea, but i thought it would be funny if he broke it and had to tie it back together in true Charlie Brown fashion (now that i think about it, i think i'm mixing my Christmas movies). I woke up as they were driving away and i was saying goodbye.
