Prison
I was with my mom and sisters and we were all flying.
I was going to jail. A cop led me to my cell and when I looked inside it was completely bare. It hit me how lonely and scary it was going to be to have to live here. When I went inside a second time there were books and a desk and all kinds of things in there. I had a phone too, but I could only call my family on it. I was sad that I couldn't call Theo. I had a window that looked out over the whole city of Santa Cruz. I could see the hills and the boardwalk and the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful, but I realized how sad it would be to look out and see all these wonderful things that I couldn't be a part of. I had brought my cat, Jack, with me and was glad to have him. I had been talking the the cop, who was a woman, about all these things as I looked around. I told her I was glad to have a friend, and she left the room and slammed the door. I wondered if she realized I was talking about Jack.
