Do Not Pass Go; Do Not Collect $200**

Night of: July 26
People Involved: Kyle, my mom, my brother, Uncle Kumar, my dad, Chris
Number of Dreams Remembered: 2
**Special: Recurring dream, psychic powers

Kyle stole a car again, but this time, I was in it, too. We drove around, and I pretended to be scared whenever I saw people because if we got caught, I wanted the excuse that I wasn't part of the stealing. I believe the driver changed during the course of the driving. We started getting chased by cops, so the driver turned into a gated neighborhood. I heard sirens coming through the neighborhood and continued to pretend I was scared. I saw a firetruck coming our way, and a crap load of people watching what was going on. I knew we were going to get caught.
So we got out of the car and I put my hands up. 4 of us got handcuffed--I have no idea who they other 3 were. The handcuffs were weird because they not only went around the wrists, but also my thumbs. I was actually able to take the thumb ones off, though.
I got to go home before going to jail. My mom and my brother didn't seem too upset about me going to jail. When thinking about leaving the family for a long time, I thought, "I better hide my stuff so they don't go through it and see what I have--I have a lot to hide." Neal wanted to borrow one of my books, so I let him have that, and I kept the Part II of whatever book it was because I was reading it. I think it might've been The Hitchhiker's Guide because it looked like the Bible, and my Hitchhiker's Guide looks like that. I asked my mom how long my sentence would probably be, and she said, "6 months, but I decided that if you ever went to jail, I'd bail you out after a month." She also said that it would cost $100,000. I thought about Kyle and how he'd probably get stuck in jail for longer. I also thought that if I use my excuse of not being part of stealing the car and just a passenger, he might get a longer sentence... but I told my mom that it wasn't my fault. She said they'd never believe me. I also thought about jail and worried that I might get butt raped.
I got to the jail place, but it wasn't anything like a jail--my mom and brother came with me and we got to stay in a hotel room. Dunkin' Donuts, which was part of the building, called us and said that we should come down for donuts because "it may be your last time."
This turned into me going to get food with Kyle... the jail apparently let us leave. I said to Kyle, "Are they letting us go?" When I said that, I felt like I jinxed it, so I said, "I hope they don't build us up to think that we're leaving just to disappoint us."
Kyle and I, walking to cars to get food, split up, and I went with some black guy. I got in his car, and we started driving, but someone important told us to stop. The black guy waived like it was okay for him to go, but the man yelled at us to stop, so we did. The someone looked to be an older family friend. He also happened to be in front of my house and at my family's party. When he stopped us, he called for someone else--Uncle Kumar.
Uncle came out and said that the black guy could go get food "on one condition: that Justin stays." I accepted quickly, got out of the car, and went to shake his hand. It was a very awkward handshake--it was pretty much only the fingertips. I could sense his disappointment in me for going to jail. I got the same vibe from others at the party. I could also see my dad in the background.
Somewhere in the middle of this, or maybe after or before, Kyle and I had a mystery to solve at the jail. Me, Kyle, and some random girl listened to the story, and then explored when we got the chance. We found some flowers and Kyle wanted to pick some for the girl we were with. The flowers had jewels on them, and Kyle was about to pick one--but I interrupted and told him he should pick a different one and hurry up. He picked it and handed it to the girl, but she was already carrying about a dozen flowers.

In retrospect: First, this is a recurring dream that Kyle steals a car and I'm part of it. I'm not sure what the meaning is there, but I have a slight idea. Now some similarities between the dream and real life: I think the thumb handcuffs were in there because I was wearing fake rings to work on Monday (I was dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow for no reason). The feeling of taking the fake rings off was just like the thumb handcuffs.
Hiding stuff from the family is always on my mind.
Neal borrowing a book that looks like the Bible is because of The Game. Neal borrowing a book in the first place is because of the The Game.
The butt rape part may be because Sublime's "Date Rape" plays at work often.
What's crazy is that my sister called me the next morning and said that the KUMAR'S are having a PARTY on Friday, and asked if I wanted to come. They maybe have a party once every six months... probably less often than that. That's nuts. Oh, and I had no idea that they were having a party until after the dream.
As for all the other things... I have no idea.

Chris had a clone who was much younger than him, and I wanted to hang out with the clone to see if he acted like Chris... and to see if I could change how Chris is now. It was basically Chris as a kid--maybe not a clone at all. Who knows.

I like how your mom would let you rot in jail for a month and THEN bail you out. That part was interesting to me. About the buttrape thing, though, i'm not sure if the song date rape had anything to do with that because that would be the first thing i would think of if i were going to jail no matter what. In fact, i was just thinking recently that i would LIKE to goto jail if it weren't for THAT.
